Torres del Paine National Park
Rugged, windswept and wild, no trip to Patagonia is complete without seeing the magnificent Paine massif which dominates the landscape of Torres del Paine National Park. The park takes its name from the three spectacular granite spires that make up the eastern face of the mountain range. The southern face contains two further towers, resembling horns or “cuernos”.
Visitors come to Torres del Paine to hike several iconic trails which collectively are known as “The W” for the shape it resembles. Non-hikers come to marvel at the spectacular scenery, observe wildlife such as guanacos, foxes, condors and possibly a puma if you’re lucky. In addition to hiking, there are opportunities to enjoy horseback riding, more leisurely walks, and a visit to a working ranch.

Los Glacieres National Park
In the heart of Argentina's Patagonia region lie Lago Argentino and Lago Viedma, gateway to glaciers and some of the most dramatic mountain peaks in the region.
Perito Moreno, just an hour and a half west of El Calafate, is one of the most accessible of all Andean glaciers. Here you can explore miles of walkways inside Los Glaciares National Park to view the glacier from varying elevations. Alternatively, you can cruise on Lago Argentino to view the glacier at water level, or for the more adventurous, hike on the face of the glacier.
Three hours to the north are Lago Viedma and the village of El Chaltén, the hiking capital for excursions to the dramatic Andean peaks of Cerro Torres and Fitz Roy.

The Straits of Magellan and Beagle Channel
At the southern tip of Patagonia, lie the Straits of Magellan, Cape Horn and the Beagle Channel. Retrace the footsteps of Charles Darwin as he navigated the majestic passages at the very southern tip of the Americas. Wander through virgin Magellanic forests, and view magnificent glaciers. Deposit
A deposit is due at time of booking. The deposit amount will depend on the arrangements made.
Payment
The balance is due 90 days before departure
Domestic or regional airfares are due at time of ticketing
Cancellation
Up to 151 days before departure – deposit may be refunded, or transferred to a new departure within one year of original trip date
150-91 days before departure – deposit is non-refundable, but may be transferred to a new departure within one year of original trip date.
90-61 days before departure – all monies received are non-refundable, but may be transferred to a new departure within one year of original trip date.
60-0 days before departure – 100% of full trip price is forfeited
Cancellation due to force majeure (circumstances outside your control, including medical illness) must be covered by travel insurance. INCA/Inca Floats, Inc. will not be responsible.

Frequently Asked Questions
When is the best time to go?
Patagonia is best experienced from October through April. December & January being the most popular times due to the winter holidays and South American summer vacations.

How do I get there?
The two major gateways for Patagonia will be either Santiago, Chile or Buenos Aires, Argentina.
From Santiago, you then fly 3 hours south to Punta Arenas, gateway to both Australis cruises to Ushuaia and Torres del Paine National Park. It’s a five hour drive up to Torres del Paine National Park, however twice a week (Tuesdays and Saturdays) there is a flight from Santiago to Puerto Natales, which will shorten the drive into Torres del Paine to just a little over an hour.
From Buenos Aires, you would fly to the town of El Calafate, your base for exploring Perito Moreno Glacier, and starting point to reach El Chaltén or cross into Chile to reach Torres del Paine National Park. It is a two hour drive north to reach El Chaltén to explore and hike Fitz Roy, or drive five hours across the border into Chile to reach Torres del Paine National Park.

Patagonia can accommodate various levels of activity, from gentle walks & cruising to horseback riding and challenging hikes.
Do I need a visa?
Neither Chile nor Argentina currently require visas for citizens of the U.S.A., Canada, U.K., Australia, or New Zealand. For other nationalities, please check with your local consulates.
