Over 2600 miles (4200 km) long, and barely 40 miles (64 km) wide at its narrowest point, Chile is a contrast in extremes.
The northern stretches of the country are marked by arid desert bordering Peru and Bolivia, while the southern region forms the heart of rugged Patagonia, down to the southernmost tip of the South American continent. To the west lies the vast Pacific Ocean, while the might Andes Mountains form the border with Argentina to the east. Patagonia
Rugged, windswept and wild, no trip to Patagonia is complete without seeing the magnificent Paine massif which dominates the landscape of Torres del Paine National Park. The park takes its name from the three spectacular granite spires that make up the eastern face of the mountain range. The southern face contains two further towers, resembling horns or “cuernos”.
Visitors come to Torres del Paine to hike several iconic trails which collectively are known as “The W” for the shape it resembles. Non-hikers come to marvel at the spectacular scenery, observe wildlife such as guanacos, foxes, condors and possibly a puma if you’re lucky. In addition to hiking, there are opportunities to enjoy horseback riding, more leisurely walks, and a visit to a working ranch.

Atacama Desert
In the far north of Chile lies the Atacama, a region commonly known as the driest place on earth, with an average rainfall of approximately ½ an inch per year. As vast and as arid as the region may be, the Atacama holds treasures for those willing to explore beyond the ordinary.

Easter island (Rapa Nui)
Rapa Nui, or Easter Island, is the southernmost island of the Polynesian triangle, and located some 2,000 miles off Chile's coast.

A deposit is due at time of booking. The deposit amount will depend on the arrangements made.
Payment
The balance is due 90 days before departure
Domestic or regional airfares are due at time of ticketing
Cancellation
Up to 151 days before departure – deposit may be refunded, or transferred to a new departure within one year of original trip date
150-91 days before departure – deposit is non-refundable, but may be transferred to a new departure within one year of original trip date.
90-61 days before departure – all monies received are non-refundable, but may be transferred to a new departure within one year of original trip date.
60-0 days before departure – 100% of full trip price is forfeited
Cancellation due to force majeure (circumstances outside your control, including medical illness) must be covered by travel insurance. INCA/Inca Floats, Inc. will not be responsible.
SMALL GROUPS OF FIVE OR MORE TRAVELERS
Deposit
An initial deposit is due at time of booking. The deposit amount will depend on the arrangements made.
A second deposit is due 150 days before departure
Payment
The balance is due 90 days before departure
Domestic or regional airfares are due at time of ticketing
Cancellation
Up to 151 days before departure – the initial deposit may be refunded or transferred to a new departure within one year of original trip date
150-91 days before departure – initial deposit and second deposit are non-refundable, but may be transferred to a new departure within one year of original trip date
90-61 days before departure – 50% of full trip price is forfeited. The remaining balance is non-refundable, but may be transferred towards a new departure within one year of original trip date
60-0 days before departure – 100% of full trip price is forfeited

Frequently Asked Questions
When is the best time to go?
Atacama is an all year round destination as is Rapa Nui. Patagonia and the Lakes District are best experienced from October through April. December & January being the most popular times due to the winter holidays and South American summer vacations.
How do I get there?
The major gateway for Chile is the capital, Santiago. From there, it’s a two-hour flight north to Atacama, three and a half hours south to Patagonia, or five hours west to Rapa Nui. For the Lakes District, it’s a one and a half hour flight to either Temuco or Puerto Montt.
Is this trip for me?
Chile is a delight for all ages and levels of activity. From simple sightseeing to active adventurers, there is something for everyone.
Do I need a visa?
Visas for Chile are not required at this time. For the latest information, it's best to consult your local Chilean consulate.
